No patron of a restaurant should have to suffer harm because the restaurant negligently exposed them to a slipping hazard. Thus, it is very important for restaurants to act properly when it comes to the safety of their premises.
Recently, a case has arisen in Texas involving a slip and fall accident that allegedly occurred at a restaurant. The restaurant in question is a fast food restaurant in Houston, Texas.
Reportedly, on May 20, 2011, a woman was on the premises of the restaurant. According to the woman, water was leaking from the restaurant's ceiling and the restaurant's employees had set up buckets to catch this water. The woman claims that water overflowed from these buckets onto the restaurant's floor. According to the woman, she slipped on this water and fell. The woman alleges that this accident caused her to sustain injuries.
The woman claims that this slip and fall accident occurred because the fast food restaurant negligently failed to take proper steps to keep its premises safe for customers.
According to the Ultimate Heights article which reported this story, the woman has brought a lawsuit in a court in Texas against the fast food restaurant in connection to these allegations. In this lawsuit, the woman reportedly is asking for damages.
Restaurant patrons can suffer great harm when restaurants fail to act properly in regards to the safety of their premises. Thus, one hopes that all restaurants make sure to avoid committing negligence like that alleged in the case mentioned above.
