When two motor vehicles collide head-on, it can cause the individuals involved to suffer a great deal of harm. Tragically, such motor vehicle accidents can sometimes even have fatal results. This can be seen in a deadly car accident that recently occurred in Louisiana.

Reportedly, a 79-year-old man from Arkansas was driving a green pickup truck along Gilliam Scott Slough Road in Caddo Parish. Allegedly, a white pickup truck that was in the opposing lane of the road then crossed the road's center line and collided head-on with the 79-year-old man's pickup truck. The white pickup truck was reportedly being driven by a 24-year-old man from Arkansas.

Reportedly, authorities are still in the process of investigating this motor vehicle accident.

The 79-year-old man, who was a produce salesman and was hauling a load of sweet potatoes at the time of the accident, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident also caused the 24-year-old man and an individual who was a passenger of the 79-year-old man's vehicle to suffer injuries. These two individuals were taken to a hospital after the crash.

As this accident illustrates, head-on motor vehicle collisions can sometimes result in an individual's death.

Because head-on motor vehicle collisions can have such devastating results, it is very important for motorists to do everything they reasonably can to prevent these types of motor vehicle accidents. This includes practicing safe and responsible driving when on the roads. It also includes obeying all relevant traffic laws (including those regarding maintaining lane) when driving.
